Nature Conservation

The Petrified Forest Protected Area Park Rangers are environmental specialists who work to observe and maintain untouched natural environments. The duties of a park ranger include protecting unspoiled natural resources from unsustainable practices, improving the conservation efforts, and managing the day-to-day operations of the protected area. The most important job duty is maintaining the environmental integrity of natural resources. Rangers are responsible for interpretation, education, public awareness, law enforcement, among other duties. The Petrified Forest Protected Area Park Management Plan is the legally binding document that provides vision for the Ranger work and biodiversity conservation.
